Chicago Prime Packers Inc., a national marketer and distributor of fresh meat products, announced that Joe Pomaranski has been named President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Pomaranski will assume his new duties effective immediately and brings a great understanding of perishables and agri-commerce.

Chicago Prime will continue to focus on its core business, contracting and forecasting beef middle meat, supplying processors and purveyors with quality and consistent raw materials, and expanding its efforts into new markets by adding qualified expert associates. Pomaranski will spearhead this drive.

"Joe's comprehensive understanding of perishable commodity sales and marketing will greatly benefit Chicago Prime, our sales network, and our clients.”

“My initial priority will be to focus on even higher levels of customer service, teamwork, and innovation and, I’m eager to get started,” said Pomaranski.

Pomaranski has been involved in the meat industry most of his lifetime, beginning as a young man working for his family's dairy business. He earned his bachelor's degree in 2006 from University of Wisconsin (Madison, WI). Before joining Chicago Prime Packers, Pomaranski served as Director of Operations for a large, nationally recognized personal injury law firm in Chicago, and organized the distribution network for the transportation and meat wholesale division of another prominent Chicago meat company. He currently resides in Naperville, Ill.
