Eagle Grove Elementary School in Eagle Grove, Iowa is beginning construction of a $6 million addition. The 13,200-square-foot addition is being built in anticipating of the incoming Prestage Foods pork processing plant and the population increase that it will bring, reports the Globe Gazette.

The school is requesting $1 million from Wright County because the school district is in the area where the pork plant will be located.

"We are busting at the seams," said Eagle Grove City Administrator Bryce Davis. "Prestage changes the conversation to where we’re going to be in five years, to how we are going to add more space."
