A Bloomberg report on Brazilian poultry processor BRF SA details some of the problems facing the company since it became the target of a new phase of an ongoing food safety/corruption probe. According to the news agency, emails from company employees show evidence of fraud from 2012 and 2015, involving three plants and several executives. A police statement says that five laboratories and an unnamed companies falsified test results on meat samples, hiding poor sanitary conditions and enabling the products to meet export requirements.
