WASHINGTON – Food Evolution Inc. of Schiller Park, Ill. is recalling about 16 pounds of ready-to-eat turkey products because of concerns the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said that the company’s 13-ounce individually wrapped packages of "Turkey Burrito Wrap" are subject to the recall. Each package bears the establishment number "P-34309" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The ready-to-eat turkey product was produced on Sept. 24, and was sent to retail establishments and institutions in the Chicago metropolitan area.

The problem was reportedly discovered through FSIS microbiological sampling. The agency has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of this product.
