Walt Barnhart has applied extensive mass media education and nearly 30 years of livestock and meat industry experience in creating Carnivore Communications LLC. The company provides a broad range of writing and public relations services to businesses and organizations. Barnhart was director of trade media for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, and prior to joining NCBA, he was senior vice president for Schaffner Communications, a full-service company in Chicago. Among the services provided by Carnivore Communications LLC are public relations planning and organization; writing and editing of articles, newsletters, white papers, and reports; media training; audio releases; special events management; and other forms of communication to a variety of audiences.
John Fox joins Dapec in the shipping department. Fox’s responsibilities include filling shipping orders, building shipping containers, and ultimately shipping Dapec equipment to clients.
Alcoa’s Board of Directors elects Ruth J. Mack, 49, to run its packaging and consumer business.
Sani-Matic names Ted Lingard as its new president. Lingard comes to Sani-Matic with a broad background of manufacturing and management experience.Vernon Spaulding joins ESE as its vice president of sales and marketing. Spaulding has more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and engineering experience within the field of process automation based on his management positions at Cutler-Hammer, Rockwell Automation, and Adaptive Micro Systems. Through these companies Spaulding has developed several process competencies within many industries, including printing, consumer products, paper, and food. In addition to working at ESE, Spaulding also teaches several MBA courses at Ottawa University.
Cris Watson joins AgION Technologies as a business development manager in the Upgrade Solutions business. Watson will introduce U.S. companies to AgION’s Clene Coat family of antimicrobial floor and wall coatings. With this and other recent hires, AgION can now directly reach more than 90 percent of the top food processing states and meat processing companies. Watson joins AgION from Rutherford Chemicals, where, as marketing manager, he provided regional sales and marketing coverage for all of the company’s chemical businesses and product lines. Watson is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
PolySpec names Scott Dunbar as its director of sales and marketing. Dunbar comes to PolySpec from Tennant, where he served as national sales manager of their Specialty Coatings Division. Prior to his tenure with Tennant, Dunbar was employed as North American market development manager for Belzona Inc.
