eMerge Interactive names Bill Miles, previously vice president of national account sales, manager of all CattleLog-related field sales activities. Miles has been actively involved in field sales and corporate relations with both the CattleLog and VerifEYE product categories, thus, the combination of additional partners and resources in the VerifEYE category along with increasing purchase orders and customer interest in CattleLog products created the need for additional sales oversight and customer interaction, the company relays.
Bunzl Distribution promotes Patrick Larmon to president and chief executive officer. Larmon has been with Bunzl for 14 years, and most recently he served as president and chief operating officer of outsourcing services for North America. He succeeds Paul Lorenzini, who retired in July. Larmon has served as president of the Western Division, executive vice president of procurement, vice president of finance and administration, and vice president of the Southwest region. Larmon joined the company when he sold his Milwaukee-based Packaging Products Corp. to Bunzl in 1990.
Thermo Electron Corp. appoints Mike Jost as president of the Weighing and Inspection business unit within the company’s Process Instruments Division. Jost will be based in Minneapolis. He is now responsible for overseeing all facets of worldwide operations, including manufacturing and distribution, research and development, as well as sales and marketing. Jost holds a doctorate degree in Materials Science from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN.
Meyn America gives Steve Morrison and Dane Woods additional sales responsibilities as corporate account managers for Perdue and Pilgrim’s Pride, respectively. These functions complement their existing regional sales manager functions. The company promotes Eric Nolten from sales/project engineering to project manager, and also promotes Billy Bradley from project site manager to service manager. Meyn welcomes Rick Boze as sales manager, West region; Jim Luper as national account manager for turkey sales; and David McNeal as food technologist.
