The SQF (Safe, Quality Food) Code is designed for use by all sectors of the food industry. The Code is a HACCP (Hazard Analysis, Critical Control Points) based quality management system that utilizes standardized HACCP principles and guidelines, proven methods and best practices used by the food industry to reduce the incidence of unsafe food reaching the marketplace. The SQF Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
ICG procures raw material from large USDA inspected slaughterhouses in the USA. A lot of this raw material is sent for further processing to the production facility in China. This facility also meets the highest food safety standards as it is IFS certified (similar high standard as SQF; also part of the Global Food Safety Initiative). This means ICG has complete control over the whole value chain at a very high standard and therefore can deliver the highest quality natural sausage casing to any customer anywhere in the world.
