New Sanitary Vertical Z Conveyor on display at Process Expo
The new DynaClean Vertical Z Conveyor will be on display at the upcoming Process Expo (September 15 – 18 in Chicago). The DynaClean conveyor reduces the cost of ownership by offering a design that is much easier to clean than bucket conveyors.
The DynaClean Vertical Z Conveyor is an ideal solution for food and pharmaceutical processing facilities that have a need to move product to higher elevations. The DynaClean Vertical Z configuration is just one of many configurations made possible with the sanitary conveyor line manufactured by Dynamic Conveyor. The patented DynaClean line of conveyor systems are designed for ease of cleaning and sanitizing, which results in shorter downtimes and the ability to quickly return the conveyor to the processing line. Bucket elevators are difficult to clean with their exposed moving parts and hidden areas. “The design of the DynaClean conveyor allows for 100% cleaning with no hidden places for product to gather, which is very important when food safety is a concern,” said Les Curtin, Sr. Director Process Development and R&D at See’s Candies.
The Vertical Z is custom designed to your desired height and includes widths up to 24”. A variety of belt styles, including solid-surface ThermoDrive and plastic link style belting, are compatible with the DynaClean conveyor. Drive flight options include standard, 75 degree and scoop flights and are selected based on product and desired throughput. The conveyors will accept product from a vibratory feeder or the company offers the option for stand-alone or attached hoppers for bulk product feeding.

The DynaClean conveyor line offers a very open design with no place for anything to hide and is much easier to clean than standard conveyors. “The ease in which the DynaClean comes apart for cleaning with no tools is great, just a matter of minutes from start to finish of the sanitation process,” says Dave Miller, Maintenance Supervisor at Pan-O-Gold Baking Company. The solid surface belting with scoop flights can be washed in a matter of minutes versus the hours it can take to clean the buckets on an elevator conveyor.

DynaClean conveyors are constructed of plastic and stainless steel materials that meet NSF, FDA, USDA and BISCC standards. The materials are corrosion resistant, non-toxic, non-absorbent and temperature resistant. The plastic side walls do not rot or retain harmful bacteria, odors or cleaning agents. The conveyors can be cleaned and sanitized with water, steam and/or detergents ranging from Sodium Hydroxide to Hydrochloric Acid.
