Case Farms, a leading poultry processor, recently donated $4,100 to Akron Children’s Hospital, the largest pediatric health care provider in northeast Ohio. The proceeds will help fund patient care, community outreach and research. Representatives from Case Farms presented a check to the hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

“Akron Children’s Hospital is one of the best pediatric facilities in the country and we’re fortunate to have it in our ‘backyard’,” said Sammy Caudle, Case Farms’ Ohio operations VP and general manager. “Their commitment to children’s health is an inspiration to not only us at Case Farms, but our community, and we want to do what we can to help it remain strong and thriving.”

Akron Children's Hospital, established in 1890 in Akron, Ohio, is the largest pediatric provider in northeast Ohio and ranked among the best children’s hospitals in the United States. With two pediatric hospitals, 23 pediatrician offices and about 80 locations across the region, the hospital handles more than 800,000 patient visits a year. In addition to primary, critical and specialized care, Akron Children’s Hospital offers more than 100 advocacies, education and outreach programs to promote the well being of children.

“We’re honored to support Akron Children’s Hospital and look forward to contributing again in the future to improve the well-bring of the communities in which we work and live,” adds Caudle.
