Deli Brands of America to build new processing facility in Baltimore area
Deli Brands of America, a division of Saval Foods Corp., is building a 19,000-square-foot facility in Lansdowne, Md. The facility will employ 12 people and will be used for the production and packaging of deli meats, custom-cut steaks and pre-cooked entrees, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.
According to the Journal, the facility is expected to open in the first quarter of next year. Employees there will slice and package corned beef, pastrami, roast beef and other products that are under the company’s Honest to Goodness Natural Deli brand.
“After an extensive real estate search that extended through several counties, it became apparent that 1705 Twin Springs Rd. satisfied each important criteria for this new requirement, highlighted by its close proximity to our existing two facilities,” said Jeff Saval, president of Deli Brands of America, in a statement.
