DES MOINES, Iowa – The Pork Checkoff announced this week that it is presenting the Producers Opportunity for Revenue and Knowledge (PORK) Academy at the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa.
The expo will be held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on June 5 and 6, 2008.
"We invite all pork producers attending World Pork Expo to join us for the PORKAcademy seminars," said Ron Schoo, chairman of the Checkoff's producer services committee. "Access to accurate and timely information is vital to my operation and the Pork Checkoff is helping provide that through educational seminars like PORKAcademy."
The academy is a series of seminars designed to help pork producers stay competitive in the current market.

In addition to PORKAcademy, visit other activities at the expo include the Great Pork BarbeQlossal™ contest on Saturday, June 7. Attendees also are invited to visit the Pork Checkoff hospitality tent to learn how the organization is focused on harnessing its resources to position the pork industry for domestic and international competitiveness and profitability.
