ConAgra Foods Inc. has announced that Dave Linne joined the company on June 30 as senior vice president of advertising global marketing strategy. He will be responsible for developing advertising and consumer communication for the company’s brands. The position is a new role for ConAgra Foods, designed to elevate the company’s marketing to consumers and customers.

“We’re thrilled to have Dave’s 25 years of advertising excellence,” said Joan Chow, executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “Dave has delivered highly creative and effective advertising for a wide variety of consumer brands. He has written, developed and produced numerous award-winning campaigns for some of the most demanding and well-regarded businesses and brands in the world.”

Linne most recently served as executive creative director and executive vice president for Leo Burnett USA on the Kellogg’s account. He has worked with many major clients including McDonald's and Hallmark, and his campaigns have included well-known consumer-facing brands such as Nintendo, Disney, Minute Maid, Cheez-It, Keebler, and Morgan Stanley.

Linne holds a bachelor of science degree in advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
