Stellar finishes USCS expansion
Stellar has completed construction of United States Cold Storage’s (USCS) phase-three expansion to its Tulare-North distribution center. Stellar, a design, engineering, construction and mechanical services firm, provided a range of design/build services for the facility, located in Tulare, Calif.
The 260,000-square-foot expansion includes 120,000 square feet of dry storage and 140,000 square feet of refrigerated storage. The refrigerated storage includes -20 degree freezer and two convertible freezers with a range of temperatures from plus 35 to -20 degrees depending on the product being stored.
Construction began in January and was complete in August. Stellar provided master planning, architecture, engineering, construction, thermal and refrigeration work.
