New Products: New all-natural breakfast sausage

August 14, 2008

Odom’s Tennessee Pride Sausage Co. Inc. announces the introduction of its first all-natural breakfast sausage. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) says in order for a breakfast sausage to be classified as “All Natural,” it cannot contain artificial ingredients, and must be minimally processed. The introduction of the mild, 1-pound package of Tennessee Pride breakfast sausage meets these stringent guidelines. The new All Natural sausage package is an eye-catching green, which will help the consumer to recognize this product, which is being offered to all Tennessee Pride retail customers.

Ruiz Foods announces family meals line

Ruiz Foods introduces El Monterey Family Meals — five restaurant-quality Mexican flavors, a complete meal in each heat-and-serve tray. Topped with traditional Mexican sauces, the five varieties are Spicy Beef Enchiladas with Spanish-style Rice, Cheese Enchiladas with Spanish-style Rice, Beef and Bean Burritos with Spanish-style Rice, Chicken Enchiladas with Spanish-style Rice, and Chicken Mexicana and Pasta. Each El Monterey Family Meal uses quality meats and cheeses, Mexican spices and freshly baked tortillas, and will be available for national distribution later this year.

Ball Park launches hot dog lines

With barbecue season in full swing, Ball Park launches its new Angus Beef Franks and Turkey Franks — two tasty twists on the classic American hot dog. Avid grillers will appreciate the top-quality, tasty Angus Beef franks — why go out and buy an expensive steak when you can buy the first national Angus Beef hot dog? At any barbecue, it’s important to give choices. Ball Park’s Turkey Franks are a lower-fat, poultry-based alternative to traditional hot dogs for the entire family to enjoy.

Curly's expands microwaveable offerings

Curly’s, known for its fully cooked line of pulled pork products, announces a new line of barbecue baked beans. The new line of baked beans continues Curly’s commitment to quick and convenient products with quality, taste and value. Curly’s Barbecue Baked Beans come in a variety of flavors, including Original with Beef Brisket, Sweet and Zesty with Beef Brisket, and Original with Pulled Pork. The product will be available in the fresh meat sections of stores, alongside Curly’s tubs of pulled beef, chicken and pork.

Oscar Mayer introduces premium franks

New Oscar Mayer Premium Beef Franks are made with high-quality cuts of beef and a flavorful blend of unique spices for a taste the whole family will love. They also have no artificial flavors, colors, fillers or byproducts and are packaged in the same easy-to-use resealable package to lock-in freshness. Oscar Mayer Premium Beef Franks are available nationwide in three varieties: Premium Beef Franks, Premium Beef Jumbo Franks and Premium Beef Bun-Length Franks.

Stubb's goes all-natural

Stubb’s Legendary Kitchen, the country’s leading line of super-premium barbecue sauces, marinades and spice rubs is now all-natural. Barbecue lovers across the nation can enjoy the same mouth-watering aromas and original C.B. “Stubb” Stubblefield sauce and marinade recipes with all-natural ingredients. Stubb’s has switched from high fructose corn syrup to a natural corn syrup sweetener, and eliminated MSG and sulfites from the recipes.
