Thanasi Foods LLC, Boulder, Colo., is marketing Jim Beam-branded Bourbon Glaze Steak Strips.

The strips of beef jerky are smoked and dried after being soaked in Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The process leaves virtually no alcohol in the final product while maintaining the bourbon flavor, the company notes.

Positioned as a premium product, the strips are free of trans fat and available in 3.15-ounce resealable bags.

The item is scheduled to be available in more than 5,000 retail outlets in the first half of 2010.
