Yamaya USA, Inc., a Torrance, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 612 pounds of pork loin cutlet fritter products because they contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) which is not declared on the label.

The products subject to recall include 12-pound cases of "Pork Loin Cutlet Fritter," containing 36 servings. These products have an identifying package code of "10812" and bear pack dates between "02/2/2011" and "03/3/2011."

Each case bears the establishment number "EST. 27510" inside the USDA mark of inspection. These products were produced on various dates between Feb. 2, 2011 and March 3, 2011, and were shipped to wholesale firms in Calif., Ga., Hawaii, Ill., N.J., and N.Y. for further sale.

The problem was discovered during a routine inspection by FSIS personnel. FSIS has determined that the MSG was introduced into the product as a result of a new ingredient the company started to use at the time of production. FSIS has received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
