Effective immediately: noax Industry PCs support the new IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard. The new standard features faster data transfer rates, better reach, more efficient energy consumption and increased overall security for your transmissions. Companies that have, or are planning for wireless network connections for their industrial PCs will benefit greatly from this new technology.

Compared to previous versions, the new IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard (also referred to as the n-standard) features significant overall improvements in data transfer processes. This n-standard is now supported by noax industrial PCs. The greatest advantage is higher data transfer rates reaching gross bit rates of up to 450 MBit/s and a net bit rate of roughly 180 MBit/s. To optimize speed, users can employ either the 2.4-GHz or 5-GHz channel, depending on which has higher free capacity.

In order to maintain uninterrupted transmission, noax Industry PCs have up to three antennas that will receive and send information simultaneously. This provides better consistency of coverage and therefore increased data transfer security - sudden connection failures from obstructions occur far less frequently. In addition to higher data rates, the new standard also provides better reach.

The new features of the n-standard make it particularly beneficial in industrial environments. Among these are high transmission speeds and a more reliable coverage, making it ideal for locations where an uninterrupted wireless connection is required.
