Marlen Kohl SchraederMarlen International announced the appointment of Kohl Danielle Schrader, Ph.D., as the company’s new food processing technologist. Dr. Schrader will provide Marlen customers with process oriented support as part of the Company’s MARLEN CARE program.

“Dr. Schrader’s skillset and extensive background in the meat industry will serve as an integral component of our MARLEN CARE program. She joins our customer care team of over 20 trained and certified technical staff and will assist food processors with process improvement consultation related to our Marlen and Carruthers processing equipment offerings. Additionally, she is charged with managing our solutions center where she will be directly involved with research and development related to product testing, equipment demonstrations, and more. I am confident that Dr. Schrader’s technical background will add significant value to our overall customer experience and we look forward to her contributions,” stated Ron Lussier, director of customer experience.

Dr. Kohl Danielle Schrader holds a Ph.D. in Meat Science from Iowa State University and has extensive experience in the production of sausage and processed meats including fresh, smoked, “naturally cured” and dry and semi-dry meat products. In her most recent position, she was responsible for a variety of technical roles in which she assisted customers with resolving quality, manufacturing and thermal processing failures, food safety compliance and regulatory support, as well as new product development and market launches.
