Tel-Tru announces the new Digi-Tel Electronic Thermometer Series

By Industry News
July 1, 2014

Tel-Tru ThermometersAn accurate and safe alternative to traditional, industrial mercury-in-glass thermometers has been announced today. The new Digi-Tel Electronic Thermometer Series is now available from Tel-Tru Manufacturing Company, a world-class manufacturer of bimetal and digital thermometers, pressure sensors and instrumentation, and related accessory products.

Digi-Tel thermometers are optimized for use in demanding food processing, dairy engineering, and process industry environments. They meet FDA Rule 21 CFR 113.40 requirements for temperature indicators used in retorts, and the requirements of the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance for dairy applications.

The Digi-Tel series is designed to meet the needs of a variety of temperature measuring applications. The all stainless steel models are built into 5" diameter cases with a reliable easy-to-read 1” tall digital display and a temperature range of -70 to 750°F (or -60 to 400°C). A unit with a 4.5" diameter polypropylene wall mounted housing and remote sensor is also available. Stem lengths range from 2-½" to 24", with a variety of threaded and sanitary fittings.

Each Digi-Tel thermometer is sold with a NIST traceable calibration certificate. All models meet stringent environmental specifications, ensuring that they will stand up to the most rugged applications. According to Andy Germanow, CEO of Tel-Tru, “The new Digi-Tel Electronic Thermometer Series provides the performance, reliability, and value required by the industries' most demanding users.”

The Digi-Tel series also includes a convenient PC-based calibration software tool, which allows the user to quickly and easily adjust the number of significant digits on the digital display, and the ability to calibrate the unit in the field. The new Digi-Tel thermometers are powered by extra long-life lithium batteries, and are backed by a five-year warranty.

Tel-Tru Manufacturing Company, founded in 1916, manufactures and distributes Bimetal Thermometers, Digital Thermometers, Temperature and Pressure Transmitters, Pressure Gauges and Accessory products that sense and monitor temperature and pressure for sanitary, industrial, OEM, HVAC, and food service applications and equipment worldwide.
