Patrick Cudahy is ready to break ground on a new bacon slicing and packaging facility that will be an essential addition to the manufacturing headquarters in Cudahy, Wis. Specifically, focus will be placed on more efficient production lines for retail, deli and foodservice products. The year-long construction process is set to start later this fall and be completed in time for a grand opening in November of 2015.

 The 16,500-square-foot facility will cost $12.1 million to build. The use of state-of-the-art technology is set to modernize the slicing and packaging processes and will be utilized as Patrick Cudahy continues to meet today's food operation and consumer demand. The building, which will be a new production facility for Patrick Cudahy, is being constructed with the goal to enhance the start-to-finish production and distribution process.

"Everything we do in the development of our production facility is to further the growth of our brand and this will be a huge step.
