The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) is planning a variety of Meat Me in @LANTA activities for IPPE attendees. IPPE will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga., from Jan. 27 – 29, 2015. 

During the entire week of IPPE, the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau has worked with area Atlanta restaurants to provide the best appetizers and entrees that include beef, pork and poultry. IPPE attendees are encouraged to visit the restaurants and indulge in all they have to offer in beef, pork and poultry. A list of the participating restaurants can be viewed here.

The 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off contest is planned for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. A group of highly competitive Atlanta chefs will prepare their favorite chili recipes featuring beef, pork and poultry. Attendees can sample and vote on their favorite chili at Booth B8375. The “Best Chili” award will be presented at 3:30 p.m. to the winning chef.

The International Networking Reception at the Georgia Aquarium will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, and Big Dutchman is sponsoring the event. Complimentary tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis to all IPPE attendees. Tickets will be distributed at a special desk in the registration lobby on Monday and Tuesday of the Expo.

The IPPE Wing Fling will feature various levels of flavored hot wings, and attendees can compete to see who can eat the most wings in a set time frame. The IPPE Wing Fling is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, in the B-Building, Meat Me in @LANTA ring. The winner will receive a $250 Visa gift card.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 27 – 28, 2015, IPPE will offer Cooking Demonstrations featuring nationally and locally recognized chefs preparing and cooking chicken, turkey, egg, beef and pork products. The demonstrations will be held in the Cuttin’ Up & Cookin’ pavilion in Booth B8641, and attendees are encouraged to stop by to experience the activities. On Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, culinary students will participate in a chicken cooking competition that will be professionally judged, and awards will be presented for the winning dishes.
