Fusion Tech acquires Cove Equipment

By Industry News
December 1, 2015

Fusion Tech Integrated, a custom metal fabrication company specializing in the food processing industry, announced today that is has acquired Cove Equipment, a provider of shredders, slicers, dicers, and smokehouses with Total-Flow-Control technology.

“We are extremely excited to add the products, skills, and services from Cove Equipment to the offerings here at Fusion Tech. We have been searching for a high-quality, comparable product line we could offer, and the line of shredders, slicers, dicers, and smokehouses from Cove Equipment are a perfect fit with our current offerings and will be a huge asset to our current clients. Our goal is to be a single source for food processing equipment for our clients, and the new product lines from Cove Equipment are moving us toward that goal. We are excited to improve our offerings to our current clients and introduce our vast design, 3D modeling, and custom equipment manufacturing services to Cove Equipment’s clients,” said Kathy Bentz, owner of Fusion Tech Integrated.

Mike Maki, founder of Cove Equipment, believes the acquisition will also benefit the clients of Cove Equipment. “Cove Equipment has experienced significant growth and is excited to be part of Fusion Tech. Finding a strategic partner like Fusion Tech is a win/win for our customers - investment in product support, increased quality of goods, and the fabrication capacity to allow even greater growth of the product lines. We share the same values towards customers – exceeding expectations, being flexible to their needs, and providing products with real innovation. We see a huge potential in serving Fusion Tech’s existing customer base and building relationships with new clients. Fusion Tech’s fabrication facilities are second to none, which was ‘icing on the cake’.”

The acquisition makes Fusion Tech a forerunner in the food processing equipment industry, enhancing the company’s future growth and performance, while giving the company a greater ability to serve clients in the western states. You can learn more about the acquisition at www.ftiinc.org/cove.

Representatives from companies in the western states will have the opportunity to see Fusion Tech’s product lines and capabilities in booth 2001 at the Northwest Food and Beverage Manufacturers Expo and Conference in Portland, Oregon. The expo will be at the Oregon Convention Center on January 11-13, 2016.
