JBT Corporation, a leading global technology solutions provider to the food processing industry, was honored last week as the North American Meat Industry’s (NAMI) Supplier of the Year, an honor awarded annually during the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE).
The award was presented to JBT in recognition of the company’s spirit of partnership with its customers and contribution to the success of the meat and poultry industry through advanced and innovative equipment design and production during an inaugural awards ceremony hosted by the Meat Institute.
“This is an incredible honor and one we’re very proud of,” said Chris Mason, vice president of sales and marketing for JBT/Wolf-tec. “With the merger last year of JBT and Wolf-tec, we’ve seen a synergy and subsequent growth/success beyond our expectations. And that’s because we’re now able to provide our customers with new solutions and expanded expertise, continuing to help them up and down the line.”
JBT acquired Wolf-tec last year and has since introduced a full line for case-ready meats as well as the new Polar Fusion High Viscous Brine system - a solution that delivers cleaner labels along with a substantial yield increase for processors.
“This award isn’t because of one piece of equipment or the result of one portion of our salesforce; it’s because of the overall team and the solutions we’ve created together,” added Mason. “We’ve accomplished a synergy that we’re feeling internally and one that’s spawned new solutions that are beneficial for our customers.”
