A 22-year-old employee at an Iowa Premium Beef plant in Tama, Iowa, was killed Wednesday when he became caught in machinery. The Courier reports that police were called out to the plant at about 3:50 a.m. and found the worker dead at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the victim.
The Iowa Premium plant reopened in the fall of 2014 after new owners purchased a former meat packing facility that had closed. The company did not respond to The Courier for comments.
