T&B Rigid Fittings Stainless Steel Drain Adapter facilitates drainage of electrical systems
The new T&B Rigid Fittings Stainless Steel Drain Adapter from Thomas & Betts facilitates drainage of moisture from electrical systems in ordinary locations where threaded connectors are not possible.
T&B Rigid Fittings Stainless Steel Drain Adapters provide drainage of accumulated moisture in stainless steel enclosures with non-threaded connections, without the need for unsafe and cumbersome welding or improvised breather lines for caulking.
“The stainless steel drain adapter enables drainage of moisture from stainless steel enclosures in locations that are difficult to reach,” Ralph Donati, product marketing director at T&B, said. “They serve as drainage points at any location in the electrical system where threaded connections are not possible.”
The UL-approved T&B Rigid Fittings Stainless Steel Drain Adapter uses Food & Drug Administration (FDA)-approved gasket material that, along with NSF certification, makes it especially suited for food and beverage processing plants, in addition to pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and petrochemical processing applications.
When used in conjunction with T&B’s optional stainless steel ball valve, the T&B Rigid Fittings Stainless Steel Drain Adapter offers UL Type 4X rating for the adapter/ball valve assembly, making it suitable for wash-down applications.
