China to extend anti-dumping penalties on U.S. chicken imports

China will extend anti-dumping penalties on imports of U.S. broiler chicken products for an additional five years, effective September 27, according to the country’s commerce ministry. Reuters reports that a suspension of the measures would potentially hurt Chinese firms, according to a statement posted on the ministry's website on Monday.

The ministry previously announced that anti-subsidy measures on U.S. chicken imports would be extended a further five years.
