Arkansas meat processing plant destroyed in fire

Cypress Valley Meat Co., a custom meat processor and deer processor located in Romance, Ark., had its facility destroyed in a fire on February 6. According to ArkansasMatters.com, the company had opened the facility in August, 2011.

Owner Steve Goode posted an update on his company’s Facebook page: “Wanted to let our friends and customers at Cypress Valley Meat Company know that our plant in Romance has burned tonight. Chris Shaw did a great job of getting everyone out of the building and we can't thank the local volunteer fire departments of Romance, Floyd, and El Paso enough for all of their efforts to try and save the building.”
