Middleby Food Processing Group announces several promotions

By Industry News
July 27, 2018

Jean Luc Dreano has been named Vice President of Integration for Middleby Food Processing and Packaging Group. He will be responsible for leading sales integration strategy, business processes, and project management for the division. Middleby Food Processing and Packaging provides a portfolio of globally recognized brands with complementary, industry leading technologies for food production.

“Jean Luc’s demonstrated vision will optimize operational efficiencies and strengthen our distribution network to the benefit of Middleby customers,” said Mark Salman, President of the Middleby Processing Group, who made the announcement. “His experience in facilitating brand synergies will provide efficient equipment solutions, reduce customers’ operating costs and provide the highest standards of product quality.”

Prior to Dreano’s promotion, he was president of Armor Inox for six years, successfully managing the integration of the company within the Middleby group, developing strong customer partnerships worldwide and focusing on proven execution. With more than 30 years’ experience in the global meat processing equipment industry, he implemented and developed the international expansion of Armor Inox’s ThermixTM cook & chill technology.

Olivier Marquet has been named President of Armor Inox, based in Mauron, France. In his new position, he will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall strategic direction and initiatives of sales and engineering at the company. As previous General Manager, Marquet succeeds Dreano.

Armor Inox provides an industry-leading line of continuous, automated thermal processing applications of protein, vegetables, and ready meal cooking and chilling systems, including sous vide preparation. The ThermixTM cooking system utilizes water to provide a highly efficient transfer of heat, rapid cook times, and the highest cooking yields. The system ensures precise control of the cooking cycle resulting in superior product quality and consistency.

“Olivier’s longstanding industry experience and customer relationships coupled with his proven leadership skills well-positions him to lead Armor Inox’s continued growth,” said Salman. “With more than 20 years’ experience in the ready meals and meat processing equipment industry, we know he will excel in his new role.”

Carolynn Coiner has been promoted to the position of Middleby Food Processing Marketing Manager for the protein division. She succeeds Keith Shackelford who will be retiring.

“In her new role, Carolynn’s experience, creativity, and analytical skills will continue to be an asset to the Food Processing Group,” said Salman. “We thank Keith for his dedication and commitment and are pleased he will continue in an advisory role, assisting us with further business development and strategic activities.”

Coiner has been in global marketing and trade show management roles with the organization for the past 10 years. Prior to joining Middleby, she was Marketing Director for Virginia Metalcrafters. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Bridgewater College.
