Reduce poultry labor costs with the new Sanitary Zero Maintenance Screen’s automatic dual canister water filtering system from Lyco

By Industry News
Lyco Chicken Water Filter
December 21, 2018

Cleaning water filters in the poultry industry has never been easier, thanks to the fully automatic Dual Canister Water Filtering System found on the new Sanitary Zero Maintenance Screen from Lyco Manufacturing.

The Dual Canister Water Filtering System works by automatically purging and switching filters without manually changing or isolating valves. These actions save customers time and money by eliminating the need to have one or more employees monitor and service their water filtration system.

“The Dual Canister Water Filtration System is total automation; it does everything for you,” said Archie Nickell, Product Line Sales Manager, Lyco Manufacturing. “There’s no need for hourly employee monitoring. It frees up your employees to perform other tasks, while cutting your costs.”

The system can filter between 50 to 400 gallons per minute, and captures particulates as small as 200 microns, making the water clean enough to be used a second time.

Benefits of the Sanitary Zero Maintenance Screen with Dual Canister Water Filtering System include:

  • Simple screen and unibody design for long-lasting, trouble-free performance
  • 6” – 8” active filters – fully automated optional
  • Clean-in-place systems stop blinding, rotating nozzles for sanitation
  • PLC controls optional

The Sanitary Zero Maintenance Screen is designed for water reuse as it filters wastewater from food-based applications such as inside/outside bird washers, and reclaims it for re-use back in the processing lines. This reduces a manufacturer’s amount of wastewater discharge, while also saving them money.

The Sanitary Zero Maintenance Screen features the industry’s most sanitary rotary drum screen, which can filter hundreds of gallons of water per minute for reuse. This savings in water, when spread out over 12 months, means the Sanitary Zero Maintenance Screen can pay for itself in just a year.
