By Industry News
January 11, 2019

Duravant LLC, a global engineered equipment and automation solutions provider to the food processing, packaging and material handling sectors, announced today it has acquired Wulftec International Inc., the North American market leader and premier brand in fully and semi-automatic end-of-line stretch-wrapping equipment.  The partnership bolsters Duravant’s end-of-line portfolio of packaging solutions and extends the company’s integration and automation capabilities.

For over 25 years, Wulftec International has designed, engineered and manufactured best-in-class stretch wrapping and strapping equipment in their state-of-the-art headquarters in Quebec, Canada.  Wulftec’s highly-customized systems are tailored to each end user’s most critical operating constraints and application needs to deliver performance that increases throughput volumes, improves cycle times, and ensures the ultimate protection of packaged goods for distribution.  Wulftec delivers packaging solutions to a wide array of end markets, including distribution & logistics, food & beverage, construction materials, consumer products, and more.

“We are very pleased to welcome the Wulftec team to the Duravant family,” said Mike Kachmer, CEO of Duravant. “Wulftec has successfully built long-standing relationships with blue-chip customers through their partnership-based approach with certified distributors, integrators and direct sales agents that deliver expert local support.  The Wulftec name is synonymous with quality and innovation in the marketplace, and we look forward to continuing that tradition of excellence.”

Priscille Tremblay, Director of Sales at Wulftec, said, “We see tremendous opportunities to bring Wulftec to the next level; supported by a financially solid group who has visions and values that are in perfect alignment with ours. All of our partners and employees should be proud of what Wulftec is today and their contribution to this great success.”

Wulftec expertly addresses ever-changing end user demands with solutions that fit seamlessly at the end of highly customized packaging lines. With over 350 certified technicians in North America, Wulftec has a broad network of experts that specialize in delivering focused application-based technical support and service.

“Our partnership with Wulftec extends Duravant’s reach in the end-of-line packaging segment,” adds Mr. Kachmer. “We truly value Wulftec’s commitment to quality and unwavering dedication to servicing the customer which align with Duravant’s core values and operating principles.”
