Brenton, a product brand of ProMach, debuts the RPX-SW series of modular robotic palletizers integrated with an Orion automatic stretch wrapper at ProMat 2019, April 8-11, McCormick Place, Chicago. The RPX-SW series gives small- to medium-sized businesses the opportunity to quickly and easily advance from manual to automated robotic palletizing and stretch wrapping with a compact footprint solution. Pre-engineering and modularity lowered the relative cost of the RPX-SW compared to custom systems. ProMat Booth #S412

In the RPX-SW series, there are four palletizer configurations, including two with automated pallet handling modules. These RPX-SW robotic palletizers require minimal floor space – anywhere from 200 to 350 square feet, depending on the configuration. RPX-SW palletizers are rated at up to 14 cases per minute. The RPX-SW robot at ProMat loads packaging directly on a slip sheet positioned on the stretch wrapper turntable. In this configuration, the RPX-SW offers the flexibility of being both a slip-sheet unitizer and/or a palletizer with the addition of a pallet dispenser module.

The modular system can be delivered in as little as 10 weeks and installed in a matter of hours. A quick connect and disconnect feature allows RPX-SW robotic cells to be easily disassembled, moved, and redeployed as needs change. Each RPX-SW palletizer comes standard with two pack patterns pre-programmed. New pack patterns are easily entered via touchscreen HMI.

Brenton integrates the robotic cells with the Orion FA, a robust automatic stretch wrapping system with integrated conveyor turntable. The Orion FA features an IntelleVue touchscreen HMI with a 10-inch screen. IntelleVue allows for fast changeover, quick trouble shooting, and improved load protection. This graphic user interface is geared for today’s multi-language workforce.

Orion Insta-Thread provides 260 percent pre-stretch for minimum film consumption. An electronic corner compensation system assures even tension on all parts of the load. This stretch wrapper is Category 2 safety rated and features structural- and plate-steel construction for long years of service.

Orion features the Sentry LP entry level stretch wrapper at ProMat
Orion, a product brand of ProMach, is showcasing the Sentry LP entry level stretch wrapper. Priced at only $6,250, this semi-automatic stretch wrapper has the wrap speed, film conservation capabilities, and ease of use features normally found on more costly machines.

At 12 revolutions per minute, the Sentry LP is 30 percent faster than its nearest competitor. A 200 percent pre-stretch capability lowers operating cost by minimizing film consumption. The RevoLogic feature precisely counts each revolution during wrapping, which confirms the accuracy of the wrap. Orion provides such options as an integrated digital scale for more efficient handling – loads are moved directly from the wrapper to the loading dock or warehouse rather than from the wrapper to a separate scale. The digital scale offers connectivity to a printer for even greater handling efficiency. Orion’s advanced 20-inch Insta-Thread carriage and Insta-Cut capability for automatic film cutting are also options. Together they reduce direct labor, while Insta-Thread adds even more material savings with its up to 260 percent pre-stretch. The Sentry LP features IntelleVue, with a seven-inch color touch screen HMI/controls package.
