Hormel Foods Corporation announced it has been recognized on the 2019 Best for Vets Employers ranking by Military Times. This is the seventh consecutive year the company has made the list, which evaluates many factors that make a company or organization a good fit for military veterans.

“It is important to support our veterans as they have done so much for all of us,” said Janet Hogan, senior vice president of human resources at Hormel Foods. “Veterans are valuable team members and an important part of our workforce. It is an honor to be recognized as a Best for Vets Employer for the seventh year in a row.”

According to Military Times, a total of 132 employers made the list, comprised of 113 for-profit companies and 19 government and nonprofit organizations.

“The companies on the Military Times Best for Vets list earned their rankings through determined efforts to recruit and support service members, veterans and military families,” said George Altman, the Military Times editor in charge of the rankings. “These efforts deserve recognition from the country and should get the attention of veterans looking for a new career.”

Hormel Foods actively recruits veterans and service members each year. In addition, the company has an employee resource group that provides assistance to current and former military members and their families as they integrate into the company’s culture, while providing a platform for continued camaraderie throughout their career.
