Hewitt Foods USA is unveiling its new brand, The Organic Meat Co., and its USDA certified organic, grass-fed and finished beef line in partnership with grocer The Giant Co. The new beef brand is launching in all 193 Giant Co. stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

US sales of organic meat rose 14% and grass-fed beef nearly 30% last year, according to Circana. Globally, the organic beef market is projected to grow from $14.7 billion in 2024 to $27 billion by 2034, per Claight Corp. Hewitt Foods is responding to soaring demand with this new organic, grass-fed beef brand at retail. A fifth-generation family business, the company champions environmental stewardship, regenerative agriculture and manages or sources from over 18 million acres of certified organic land worldwide.

“Health-conscious shoppers are clear—they want food that reflects their values, tastes great, and is better for them and the planet,” said Mick Hewitt, CEO of Hewitt Foods USA. “That means no additives, greater transparency, and products raised the right way. This launch helps move organic from a specialty item to an everyday standard.”

The new Organic Meat Co. range includes Organic Ground Beef 85/15, Organic Ground Beef Value Pack, and Organic Sirloin, Ribeye, Tenderloin and Strip Steaks. All products are USDA certified organic, grass-fed and finished, with no antibiotics, added hormones or feedlot confinement. Studies suggest organic, grass-fed meat offers more omega-3 fatty acids, CLA, and vitamins A and E.

“At The GIANT Company, we pride ourselves on offering our customers flavorful and affordable options, every day, and adding organic beef from The Organic Meat Co. is helping us do just that,” said Jenn Graves, category manager, The Giant Co. “We know our customers will appreciate their commitment to quality and taste, as well as the fact that they list the net weight of each item, providing added clarity at shelf level. We’re excited to see this product roll out in stores and online starting in May.”
