National Turkey Federation seeks proposals to advance ground turkey food safety
Proposal window closes Oct. 10, 2025.

The National Turkey Federation has issued a request for proposals for a scientific study to define and develop microbiologically independent lots of raw ground turkey within a single production day. The study will evaluate data from an established ground turkey sampling protocol to identify practical, science-based criteria and operational practices that processors can use to establish distinct, microbiologically independent lots.
Qualified research institutions, academic partners and private sector entities with demonstrated data analysis skills, preferably with expertise in microbial data analysis and meat/poultry systems, are invited to submit proposals by Oct. 10, 2025.
