Third-generation owner John Starr continues as chief executive officer and executive chair.

After more than 140 years in business, one of Kansas City’s oldest companies is making a leadership move to support its next phase of growth. UltraSource LLC named David Billings as president, effective April 1, 2026, while third-generation owner John Starr continues as chief executive officer and executive chair. UltraSource is a global, family-owned manufacturer and distributor of processing, packaging and labeling equipment serving the food processing industry, including meat, poultry and seafood.
Billings, a seasoned leader within UltraSource, has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and operational performance. As president, Billings will prioritize operational excellence and an enhanced customer experience, while fostering the development and success of UltraSource teams.
