The North American Renderers Association (NARA) has launched a nationwide search for its next vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs, a key executive leadership position responsible for advancing the association's scientific, regulatory, educational and research initiatives.
Reporting to President and CEO Kent Swisher, the vice president will lead NARA's scientific and regulatory programs, oversee regulatory advocacy, member education, and research, and serve as the association's principal scientific advisor. The position also directs NARA's APPI testing, certification and educational programs and serves as research director for the Fats and Proteins Research Foundation (FPRF).
"This position is essential to advancing NARA's mission and supporting the future of the rendering industry," said Kent Swisher, NARA President and CEO. "We are seeking an experienced scientific leader who will help strengthen our regulatory, research, and educational programs while serving as a trusted resource for our members. We also encourage qualified emerging leaders who are ready to take the next step in their careers to apply."
NARA welcomes applications from qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Candidates should possess an advanced degree in a relevant field and demonstrated expertise in scientific leadership, regulatory affairs and research management.
