WASHINGTON – The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Friday a public meeting to provide information and receive comments on draft positions for the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH).

The 40th annual session will be held in Guatemala City, Guatemala, on Dec. 1 through 5

The public meeting is scheduled for Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m., in Room 1A003, FDA, Harvey Wiley Federal Building,

5100 Paint Branch Parkway, College Park, Md.
Agenda items and documents relating to the CCFH will be available on the Codex Alimentarius Web site at www.codexalimentarius.net/current.asp.

CCFH was reportedly established to elaborate codes, standards, and related texts for food hygiene. The committee is hosted by the United States.
