Treif USA Inc. has announced Maurizio Ventura succeeds Robert Linke as president. He has more than 15 years of experience in the machinery industry, and in his new position, he will implement the expansion of Treif USA on the North American market. In addition, Rudy Koelewyn has been named nationwide sales manager of Treif products. He assumes the responsibility for marketing and sales of the entire Treif product line, and he will provide support in expanding the company’s North American business.
Phillip Sanders and Matt Foster have joined Dapec as service technicians. Sanders is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting and repairing the company’s poultry-processing equipment. Foster is responsible for the installation and servicing of Dapec cut-up equipment.
Golden State Foods has named Dr. Wayne Morgan vice president of meat products. He will oversee all of GSF’s meat products operations in Conyers, Ga., and City of industry, Calif., and ensure company adherence to its quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction standards. He has been a GSF employee since 1998.
Kayem Foods Inc. appointed Chris Leahy as New England regional sales manager. He is responsible for building business with Kayem’s largest accounts in New England, as well as co-managing the company’s account with Acosta Food Brokers. He has previously worked with Creekstone Farms, Snow Ball Foods Inc. and Sara Lee Deli.
Michael Quint has been appointed vice president of sales for West Liberty Foods LLC. He has more than 20 years of experience in strategic and tactical marketing, business development and sales management. Gregory Staley also has been named plant manager for Mt. Pleasant Foods, which is owned by West Liberty. He will be responsible for building a successful team atmosphere that strives to produce a top-quality product.
The Cattlemen’s Beef Board and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association have named Ellen Gibson executive director, New Products Initiatives. The team is dedicated to increasing the value of the chuck and round and providing consumers with convenient new beef and veal products. She has previously worked for Swift & Co., Snapple Beverage Co. and Robinson Dairy.
