West Best Foods Inc., a Las Vegas, Nev. establishment, is recalling approximately 13,776 pounds of lasagna products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product contains soy, which is an allergen that is not declared on the label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

The products subject to recall are 24-pound cases of "West Best Foods Inc Lasagna With Meat Sauce" and "West Best Foods Inc Deluxe Beef Lasagna." The products bear the establishment number "EST. 6080" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were produced between April 13, 2012, and May 21, 2012, and were distributed to hotels and one distributor in Las Vegas, Nev.

The problem was discovered during a routine food safety assessment and may have occurred as a result of a change in an ingredient formulation used in the products. FSIS and the company have not received reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
