Stellar, a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction and mechanical services worldwide, has launched Food for Thought, a blog serving the food processing and distribution industry.

On the blog, at www.stellarfoodforthought.net, Stellar’s process engineering, design-build, refrigeration, thermal and automation experts will share knowledge and insights gained from their decades of work in the food processing and distribution industry. Since its beginning in 1985, Stellar has focused on the food industry, serving companies such as Nestlé, Kraft, Starbucks, Heinz, Food Lion, Burris Logistics, United States Cold Storage, and Sysco Foods.

“Every day, we provide solutions to meet food companies’ complex challenges, from rising commodity and energy costs to an evolving consumer base and ever-increasing food safety concerns,” said Brian Kappele, Stellar Divisional Vice President. “On this blog, our experts will share thought-provoking ideas, best practices and useful information to help food companies solve problems, improve their bottom line, and remain at the cutting edge of the food industry.”

On Food for Thought, Stellar’s experts will cover a range of topics such as food safety, energy efficiency, processing trends, design-build best practices, advances in refrigeration, new technologies, materials and techniques, and more.

Each month the blog will feature four posts (one each week) focusing on a specific area of the company’s expertise. In April, Stellar’s experts will focus on refrigeration control systems. Then in May, they will concentrate on process engineering.

Readers can sign up to receive an email each time a new post is added to the blog, or they can follow Stellar on social media to receive updates when new posts are added. They can also read the blog via an RSS feed.
