Bumble Bee Foods is adding three varieties to its Prime Fillet Gourmet Flavors line of canned albacore tuna.

The John Morrell Food Group, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, introduces Armour and John Morrell 40% Lower Sodium Franks for foodservice operators.

The Fish McBites, which will come in three sizes and use the same Alaskan pollock used in the Filet-O-Fish, are set to be launched as a limited-time addition in February.

The Ball Park brand will launch this month two new lean hot dog products, with the introduction of Ball Park Lean Pork Franks and Lean Beef Franks.

Burger King is kicking off the new year with a slew of new menu items, including two "molten fudge" desserts and a Whopper with avocado and swiss. Perhaps most notable are the restaurant's chicken nuggets. Previously dubbed BK Crown Tenders, the product now takes on a name more closely associated with McDonald's.

First there were McNuggets. Then there were Chicken McBites. Now McDonald's could be adding "Mighty Wings" to its chicken menu.
