Awards ceremony April 9, 2026, held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors Annual Convention, honors Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame inductees Dan Schaefer and Steve Van Lannen.

Hall of fame honors the head of sow procurement at Johnsonville, and the president of Fred Usinger Inc.

The 2nd Annual Wisconsin Meat Industry Coalition Conference is coming up on Nov. 1-3, 2023, at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

The purpose of this conference is to pursue the quest for common interests among the various sectors of meat and animal industries, explore opportunities for developing a more unified industry voice, and identify collaborative longitudinal opportunities with individual and collective high-impact potential benefit.

The induction ceremony is set for Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023.
