Curly’s Foods, a unit of Smithfield Foods, is planning a $9 million expansion to its Sioux City, Iowa, facility, which will add about 30 jobs to the company. The company produces ribs and other pre-cooked foods.
According to KCCI News, the 13,000-square-foot addition will be added to the south side of the building. It will include additional cooling units, ovens and production space. The project also includes work on an 8,000-square-foot portion of the plant that was built several years ago but not used to full capacity.
