George Foreman launches online butcher shop

By Industry News
May 12, 2015

World Champion Boxing legend, George Foreman announced the launch of George Foreman’s Butcher Shop – a premier direct to consumer purveyor of artisanal steakhouse cuts of USDA Choice and Prime meats, poultry, BBQ, and gourmet sides. George Foreman’s Butcher Shop is providing food and meat enthusiasts, as well as families around the country with the authentic quality experience of the old-style butcher shop.

“I am thrilled to be surrounded by some of the most highly experienced chefs, butchers and meat experts that work alongside me to prepare and develop the finest quality meats and side dishes. Sharing my favorite family recipes is the tastiest part.”

Growing up in Houston, Texas and as the lead cook in his family, Foreman has always had a passion for food, quality meat, and BBQ. With a contemporary perspective on the classic butcher, Foreman is bringing back that personal, uniquely crafted art of meat selection – where the butcher knew exactly what his customers wanted. With the George Foreman’s Butcher Shop customers are able to choose a variety of the highest quality Premium Angus beef cuts, sourced from small, family-run ranches throughout the Midwest in addition to other fantastic selections of chicken, pork, burgers, sausages and more.

“My family and I love eating together; I created George Foreman’s Butcher Shop so everyone can experience having the best meat for great, memorable family dinners,” says Foreman. “This is quality, only the best – hand trimmed, hand seasoned, and hand wrapped prime and choice cuts of meat that are hand delivered to your door – people are feeling that touch of care I feel at my dinner table.”

Foreman continues, “I am thrilled to be surrounded by some of the most highly experienced chefs, butchers and meat experts that work alongside me to prepare and develop the finest quality meats and side dishes. Sharing my favorite family recipes is the tastiest part.”

The collection includes items ranging from traditional steakhouse classic steaks, to Chicken Apple Sausages, Peppercorn Crusted BBQ Tri-tip Sirloin Roasts, Creamed Spinach, and more. All George Foreman Butcher Shop meats are either USDA Choice or Prime Premium “Never Ever” Angus Beef – sourced from sustainable land friendly ranches, “Never Ever” given hormones, antibiotics or steroids and fed a 100% vegetarian diet, including grass, hay, silage, corn, barley and split peas.

George Foreman’s Butcher Shop will be available nationwide starting May 18. Please visit: www.gfbutchershop.com for more information.
