At the IPPE exhibition in Atlanta, January 26-28, Marel Stork Poultry Processing will present various innovations. A first for the American market is the AeroScalder, a revolutionary method of scalding birds without water immersion. Furthermore the SingleFeed singulator will have its world launch. However, Marel Stork is not just a supplier of equipment, but prefers to focus on integrated process solutions, such as value-added fillet processing, an integration of RoboBatcher and I-Cut, which also will be disclosed at the IPPE.

At the occasion of the IPPE, Marel Stork takes the opportunity to introduce several innovative poultry processing solutions. "Strengthening our role as the world's market and technology leader, we are coming up with some exciting new products. As always, we started from the perspective of the poultry processor when developing these products and services. Primary goal of every innovative initiative is to make daily processing more efficient, with high return on investment and high attention to food safety," says Larry Campbell, Marel Stork Vice President Sales.

AeroScalder

The Marel Stork AeroScalder is a revolutionary and sustainable scalding system, saving up to 75 percent in water and 50 percent in energy compared to traditional immersion scalding systems. The AeroScalder is a closed system with moisturized hot air to loosen feathers. The air is reconditioned for recirculation, creating a closed and fully controlled process. Unlike immersion, the process stays stable from beginning to end, so every product is treated identically. Odor emissions are considerably lower too. In addition, the Marel Stork AeroScalder virtually eliminates the risk of cross contamination in the scalding process as it doesn't make use of immersion into a common water bath.

'A robot with a knife'

The interaction between a RoboBatcher Flex and the I-Cut portion cutter results in an innovative 'robot with a knife' concept, an integrated value-added fillet processing system. Marel Stork connects the high speed, accurate portioning of the I-Cut to the ultra-fast, precise sorting of the RoboBatcher Flex, so that poultry processors can make optimal use of all incoming products, reducing give-away to a minimum. The system intelligently decides which fillet weights best match the order requirements. It's not about cutting one ideal average, but about cutting what is really needed.

SingleFeed

When bulk supplied poultry meat needs to be singulated for weighing, grading, inspection, portioning, further processing or freezing purposes, the brand new SingleFeed is the ideal solution. It is suitable to singulate nuggets or tenders which are supplied as bulk, batches or irregular flows.

All of these innovations, which closely match market requirements, prove that Marel Stork is more than ready for the poultry processing future.
