Foster Farms debuts new pre-cut, marinated and frozen Sauté Ready chicken line

Foster Farms introduces a new line of all-natural Sauté Ready chicken: flavorful chicken breast pieces and strips that are pre-cut, marinated and frozen. With no thawing required, the chicken is ready to cook right out of the bag and can go from freezer to table in just 10 minutes. The product line includes three savory flavors – Garlic Herb, Fajita and Asian Style – and is available now at major retailers throughout the West Coast.

Foster Farms Sauté Ready chicken is seasoned with carefully selected Italian, Mexican or Asian spices. The chicken is cut into bite-sized pieces or strips, making it easy to combine in a skillet with rice or vegetables for a quick and hearty meal. Since the product is conveniently packaged in a 28-ounce (1.75 pounds) re-sealable bag, each with seven servings, it can serve as the protein for multiple meals.

“Home cooks don’t always have time to create a meal from scratch but still crave the satisfaction – and taste – of a home cooked meal,” said Foster Farms Vice President of Marketing Greta Janz. “Sauté Ready chicken is a perfect staple for families to keep on hand for quick, healthy mid-week dinners.”

The pre-marinated chicken is 100 percent natural, low-fat (98 percent fat free), high in protein (21 grams of protein/serving) and results in chicken that is tender and juicy. As with all Foster Farms poultry products, Foster Farms Sauté Ready Chicken contains no added hormones or steroids.

Today’s consumer is more flavor oriented than ever, which is why Foster Farms sought to develop three distinct, yet widely preferred marinade flavors. Rather than making a marinade or rub from scratch, home cooks can add an ethnic flavor to their dinners simply by using Foster Farms Sauté Ready as the foundation for any meal.

Each variety includes three recipes for quick, fresh and flavorful meal ideas. The Fajita Marinated Chicken Breast Strips can be combined with vegetables for the perfect homemade fajitas or tacos; the Garlic Herb Marinated Chicken Breast Pieces are an easy addition to various international cuisines, from Skillet Lasagna to Chicken Alfredo; and the Asian Style Marinated Chicken Breast Pieces can be mixed with vegetables and rice for a hearty stir fry or served in lettuce cups for an impressive starter dish.

The product retails for $7.99-$9.99 depending on the store. For more information about Foster Farms Sauté Ready, including nutritionals and money-saving coupons, visit http://www.fosterfarms.com/products/saute-ready.asp.
