Wild Zora, winner of the 2015 Naturally Boulder Pitch Slam, is taking its brand to the next level to spread the word about its first-to-market protein and veggie-based savory snack bars. The prestigious Pitch Slam prize, valued at $58,000, includes legal, marketing and veteran counsel from natural foods titans.

Wild Zora, The Original Meat & Veggie Bar, will help consumers who want to eat ‘clean’ food that is free from allergens and high in protein. Each Wild Zora bar is made with organic veggies and grass-fed, free-range meat that contains no added hormones, antibiotics or nitrates. Wild Zora bars are free from grains, gluten, soy, nuts and MSG, and appeal to the growing base of consumers following Paleo and Primal diets. According to research firm IRI, Americans spent $2.8 billion on dried meat snacks in 2015.

Co-founder Zora Tabin created Wild Zora at her kitchen table and began selling the bars to friends who, like her, sought a healthy alternative to sugary, high-carb snacks.

“As an active family, we struggled to find savory, protein-rich snacks that weren’t full of sugar, preservatives or other additives,” said Zora. “Inspired by Primal meals, we began experimenting with dehydrated grass-fed, pasture-raised meats and organic veggies to create energizing and satiating snacks.”

Each 1 oz. Wild Zora bar contains a full serving of certified organic fruits and veggies, providing a higher concentration of nutrients than traditional grain-based bars in five culinary-inspired flavors including:

  • Chili Beef Bars with Kale, Apricot, Cayenne Pepper
  • Parmesan Beef Bars with Kale, Tomato, Basil
  • BBQ Beef Bars with Kale, Tomato, Red Bell Pepper
  • Curry Masala Turkey Bars with Spinach, Dates, Cardamom
  • Mediterranean Lamb Bars with Spinach & Turmeric

Wild Zora bars are available in Whole Foods Market and Natural Grocers stores throughout the Rocky Mountain Region, Lunds & Byerlys in the Midwest, 100 independent retailers across the U.S., and will soon be available in King Soopers division of Kroger.
