By Industry News

The TB Wood’s line of L-Jaw couplings has recently been expanded to include a larger range of bore sizes, as well as new aluminum and stainless steel hubs.

TB Wood’s jaw couplings are part-for-part interchangeable with industry-standard designs. A new L-Jaw Interchange Guide (P-8017-TBW) is available for download from the Literature Portal at tbwoods.com.

Jaw-type elastomeric couplings are an economical, proven solution for general purpose applications. TB Wood’s L-Jaw couplings are easy to install and require no lubrication or maintenance, while providing good vibration isolation and chemical resistance.

A wide range of sizes is offered with torque ratings up to 6228 in. lbs. and bore sizes up to
2-7/8 in. diameter. Couplings can accommodate up to 1˚ of angular misalignment and have an operating temperature range of -60˚ to 250˚F.

TB Wood’s L-Jaw couplings are an excellent choice for a wide range of light- and medium- duty industrial applications including fans, blowers, pumps, compressors, agitators and conveyors. Units feature a fail-safe design that allows equipment to continue to drive if the elastomer fails.

The right L-Jaw coupling for a specific application can be easily selected using the convenient Coupling Selection Program at tbwoods.com.
