Greenridge Farm expands into Costco retailers throughout Midwest

By Industry News
July 28, 2016

Following nearly a decade of sustained sales growth, Greenridge Farm sets its next stage of expansion by launching products throughout the Midwest.

Consumers will soon be able to find Greenridge Farm artisanal sausages in Costco stores throughout 13 states, including Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, and Iowa. The products will be available in 3-pound packages at Costco versus its standard 14-ounce packages available at neighborhood grocery stores.

Greenridge Farm has experienced tremendous growth each year since its founding in 2008, and the privately-held company is on pace to grow 20 percent in 2016.

The recent expansion into Costco stores is allowing Greenridge Farm to more than double its retailer presence as it adds another 225 stores in 2016. Three of the brand's sausage varieties are also available in more than 135 Chicago-area Jewel stores, which began distribution in April 2016.

"For the past eight years, we have brought fresh, butcher-quality meats to families throughout Chicagoland, and we are proud to be expanding our footprint throughout the Midwest as the next step of our journey," said Sebastian Madej, Co-Founder and CEO of Greenridge Farm, Inc. "We not only look to nature for the best ingredients needed to create layered aromas of pepper, herbs and natural smoke in our deli meats and sausages, but also to local farmers throughout the region to help us create the authentic, European-style meat experience here in the U.S."

Working closely with expert European butchers, the Greenridge Farm founders have created a menu of artisanal deli meats, flavor-popping sausages, rich cheeses and condiments. Delivering top quality and rich European heritage, Greenridge Farm products are hand-crafted in small batches and seasoned with pure, simple ingredients. Responding to growing consumer interest for natural ingredients, its recipes are rooted in tradition and carefully curated, down to the last detail: free of nitrates, artificial nitrites, artificial flavors, artificial colors, phosphates, MSG, gluten and soy.

In addition to Costco and Jewel, Greenridge Farm deli meats, cheeses and condiments are available at Chicago area grocery stores, including Mariano's, Tony's Finer Foods, Angelo Caputo's Fresh Markets, Valli Produce and more. Find more store locations on the brand's website at GreenridgeFarm.com.
