Home » Proposals sought for lease or purchase of Mt. McKinley Meat and Sausage
The Board of Agriculture and Conservation today issued a request for proposals to lease or purchase the Mt. McKinley Meat and Sausage plant in Palmer. The deadline to submit proposals is 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28.
The meat plant is the only U.S. Department of Agriculture-approved slaughter and processing facility in Southcentral Alaska. The State of Alaska has operated the meat plant since 1986 as an asset of the Agricultural Revolving Loan Fund.
